Posted by Education Department on 2017-07-14 06:41:32 ADT

VHF Self-study option: During the summer months, Halifax and surrounding area residents can get their marine VHF radio certification through a self study option. ...

Note that this is not an on-line course and is offered for Halifax and area residents only. When you register, we will contact you to arrange for you to pick up the course material and give you guidelines for study. Once you are prepared, we will arrange for your exam, which must be taken in-person with one of our qualified examiners.

Upon successful completion of the exam, you will receive your ROC(M) - a Canadian Federal government issued certificate that allows you to operate a marine VHF radio

To register on-line: click on VHF Self-Study Program and scroll down to the Sign-up box and then proceed to complete the Registration form. Note that you must register each subsequent family member individually.
